2. My Razor product doesn’t seem to be running as long as it should, the batteries aren’t lasting.

Our recommendation is that the product should be charged for 18 hours in the first instance and for at least 12 hours on every subsequent recharge, regardless of the colour of the light on the charger. Please note performance of your Razor product may be affected by the following: terrain, weight of rider, tyre pressure, brake cable and drive chain tension. These should be reviewed periodically in accordance with the user guide.

3. The light on my charger module is flashing on and off or is not lit at all.

First check the fuse in the plug. If this is correct, it is probable you have a faulty charger.

4. How do I access the battery compartment/change the batteries on my Razor Quad Bike?

The easiest way to change the batteries is as follows: First remove the handle bars. Under the front wheel arches you will see where the body is fixed to the chassis with an Allen bolt on each side. Undo these.

Under the seat there are two 10mm nuts that need to be removed. Then the four Allen bolts holding the footplates to the body can be removed and the body should lift away revealing the battery box. The box is in two halves held together by Philips screws and Allen bolts holding it to the chassis. The battery pair is held in place by a clamp, fastened by two Allen bolts.

7. What should I do with my old batteries? Can I return them to you?

Old lead acid batteries should be disposed of in accordance with your local authority guidelines. In many cases local councils operate battery recycling schemes or there are companies licensed to handle this type of material. We are not at this time able to deal with your waste batteries.

8. The drive chain on my Razor Pocket Mod appears to be slipping, I can hear the motor running but the back wheel will not turn when it is on the ground.

Check to ensure the chain has not slipped off the small gear on the motor shaft. If this is OK it is possible the free wheel mechanism on the rear wheel has failed and you will require a replacement wheel.

9. The cut-out switch on my Razor scooter keeps popping out.

Confirm the batteries are being charged for the correct length of time, that the brake and drive chain are both adjusted correctly per the user guide. You should also review the terrain where it is being used.

15. The rear wheel of my Razor E100 now has a flat edge. How has this happened?

The usual cause of this is a foreign object (such as a stone) has got caught in the chain, jamming the wheel. This is a solid rubber wheel and you will need to order a replacement.

16. I bought a Razor product in the United States but the charger module only operates at 120v, how do I avoid causing damage to the charger or product?

For products which are also sold in the United Kingdom, we can offer a replacement charger which will operate at all AC input voltages between 100-240v 50/60Hz. With products not available in the UK (these are typically 36v DC such as the MX500) we suggest using a “step-down” converter between the mains supply and your US charger. These converters may be purchased from retailers such as Maplin.

18. Can you supply a larger capacity battery so my scooter lasts longer or goes faster?
